Of course, it’s still manipulation, just in more specific way. Such exhibition caused Li Wei a little bit more effort than any ordinary photoshop manipulations.

I think the author of this post, gave such explanation, because he didn’t want to get wrong opinions about these pictures.

“. . . just some unnecessary objects, like ropes, are deleted from the picture.”

So, isn’t that being “manipulated with Photoshop”?
Deleted from the pictures indicates something is being removed
